In relation to an elaborate city planning and restructuring project in Aarhus, Denmark, the city council approved a tunnel connection to create access between the old city center and the newly urbanized harbor front passing under Marselis Boulevard.
As a part of the projekt the local artist, Line Kramhøft, delivered artwork for the walls. The goal was to give the tunnel a unique, characteristic and aesthetic appearance. Kramhøft describes her vision as an attempt to inject values such as sensuality, form and feel to the architectonic surfaces.
For manufacturing of the artwork, Odico consulted on a design check and bounced the provided CAD-files through our in-house developed software in order to achieve an optimal fabrication process. Furthermore, we worked with the artist to develop a unique coating solution to fully realize her vision.
